Funnel Boards Overview – Asana
Welcome To Funnel Boards Templates
This quick guide will help you get started in no time.
The boards for different funnels are similar in structure but the items and the checklists will vary based on the funnel type. For this specific video, I will be using the Tripwire Funnel, also know as SLO or self-liquidating funnel and as needed will jump over to Live Webinar Funnel board to show you the steps that are unique to that funnel.
So let’s get started...first thing on the board is..
How To Use This Board LIST
Will help you and your team to get familiar with the board. It has one card to start but you can add more if you will need to.
CARD: Start Here
This is a quick start guide for the board.
Attached to this card is the project workflow. It has all the cards from the board divided into the three stages of the funnel building.
Stage one is defining the offer, the audience, and the funnel.
Stage two is creating all the components that it takes to build the funnel and then putting it ALL together.
And Stage three is testing and launching your funnel
The layout shows the tasks that can be completed at the same time by lining them up on the same line,
It also shows how the tasks are dependent on the other tasks to be done first. So if you look here, you will see that the Funnel Blueprint task cannot be started on until four tasks right above it have been completed.
There are some helpful details on the card and instruction on how to make a copy of the board to make it your own.
Use this card to provide any additional information to your team members to help them hit the ground running when working on the funnel with you.
Next, I would like to cover the Layout Of The Board
The board layout is designed in the way to make it easy to find all the supporting information needed.
Everything about the product and the product owner is in the ‘Offer Info’ list.
‘Copy and Creatives’ list hosts all the branding, videos, graphics, page copy, scripts, email copy, and templates.
‘Funnel Building’ list has all the steps for actually building your funnel.
The labels on the cards will show the way.
Red is “Waiting For” other tasks to be completed
Orange, this card is “Next” in line
Yellow, someone is “Working on” this task
Green, this task has been “Done”
All card will also have the instructions on “Starting Work on this Card” and “Completing Work on this Card” to keep the project moving along. I’ll show them to you in the minute.
If you prefer you can easily change your board to follow the Agile/SCRUM process and I will go into more details about that process in the separate video.
But now, let’s move on to the actual tasks...
Offer Info LIST
Project Information
This card will help to keep all information relevant to this Funnel Building project organized and readily available.
To make this process flow all cards have preassigned user roles. On the Project Information card specify who is going to take on those roles.
And here is the “Starting Work on this Card” that tells you the exact steps to take.
Then more tasks to be completed on the card and “Completing Work on this Card” checklist again with very detailed instructions to move the project along.
About
Another quick reference card. All the info about the product owner, websites, social media profiles, even testimonial are all here. Nice and handy.
Offer Research (Philosophy)
Use this card to nail down your offer and to give everyone a deeper understanding of the project they are working on. Use the guide include on the card or change it to fit your needs.
Offer Details (Anatomy)
Keep the offer information readily available for everyone, no more messaging back and forth between team member if that bonus is included and what’s that order bump again.
Copy and Creatives LIST
Brand Board
Use this card not only for a checklist but also to keep everything organized and accessible. Or even include graphic links in the card’s description to make it visual as well. When working on this card, start off with general product owner branding and then develop branding specific to this funnel.
Create Graphics
This card will host the list of all the graphics needed to create this funnel and the links to the graphics themselves.
Write Copy and Scripts
This card will be updated with the list of pages that need copy and all videos that need the scrips from the blueprint and it has all the steps needed to get the Copy and Scripts written and approved.
Shoot and Edit Videos
This card will host the list of all the videos needed to create this funnel along with video shoot schedule.
Write Emails
This card is separated out from other copy so videographers can get to work while emails are being written. And again this card is all updated with the information from the blueprint so everyone is on the same page on what needs to to be done.
Create Email Templates
When this is done adding all those confirmations, welcome, and followup emails will be a snap...
Create Webinar Slides
And if this a webinar funnel you will need the slides designed and created.
Funnel Building LIST
Funnel Blueprint
This card is exactly what its name says.
It will have all the information about the funnel:
all the pages
what graphics are needed for
what pages will have videos
how the product will be delivered
What follow-up sequences will be used
Initial funnel setup and wireframes are also part of this huge task.
Setup Funnel Integrations
Once the funnel skeleton is in place all the integrations that make it function can be added.
Pages Setup Check
Before designers can get to creating amazing funnels we need to make sure that pages are set up correctly and all the elements are in place.
Design and Build Pages
This card is all about making the funnel look great. Adding copy, graphics, videos and getting it all approve and ready to go out of the door.
Setup Emails
Last but no lease, those are the important part of the functioning funnel. We have email templates, email copy, now it’s the time to put it all together.
Funnel Test and Launch Check
This card has the biggest checklist of all the cards, 125 items for this Tripwire Funnel to be exact. And there is a good reason for that, you want to make that every button on your pages works, every link in your emails works, all the payment options work before you start sending people over into your funnel.
Run Live Webinar
And If this is the Live Webinar funnel then the funnel building process is finished yet, we still have to run the live webinar and upload the recording to the replay page.
I hope these templates will help you build high quality, highly converting funnels in a very short period of time.
